Two Dead, Three Injured after Three-Vehicle Wreck in Harrison County

Harrison County, TX (1/6/2020) – Two people are dead and three others are injured after a fatal collision occurred early Sunday evening in Harrison County.

The accident occurred just before 7 p.m. when a Dodge Caliper headed southbound on County Road 2218 drove through the US 80 intersection, lost control, and rolled over into the eastbound lane of US 80. That’s when the Dodge Caliper collided into a Ford Mustang, driven by 20-year-old Nathan Charles Guyer. The Dodge Caliper then entered the westbound lane and struck a Chevy Blazer driven by 69-year-old Jesse Wayne Wink.

The driver of the Dodge Caliper, identified as 23-year-old Haley Ann Carroll, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dusty James Gabbard, 24, was also killed at the scene.

Guyer was taken to a hospital where he was treated and released.

Wink and his passenger, 65-year-old Barbara Wink, were taken to a hospital, where they remain in stable condition.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.

A wreck involving three different vehicles will result in three different claims being filed.
