Terrell County, TX (August 29, 2019) – Two people were killed after a head-on collision between two tractor trailers and a SUV in Terrell County.
The 18-wheeler accident happened Tuesday around 5:30 a.m. on State Highway 90, near Dryden, Texas.
According to the Terrell County Sheriff’s Office, one semi-truck crossed the center line and struck the other semi-truck head on. Due to the dark conditions, the SUV driver could not see and collided into the initial crash.
The driver and the passenger in the SUV were airlifted to a local hospital.
The driver and passenger in the 18-wheeler traveling eastbound were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver and passenger in the 18-wheeler traveling westbound were not injured.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in ten days.
