Lubbock, TX (10/31/2020) – Two people were killed and five others were injured after a vehicle crashed into a restaurant in south Lubbock Saturday morning.
The accident happened at 117th and University around 9:16 a.m. A Dodge Ram crashed into Tech Cafe.
The victims were identified as 68-year-old Danny Watson and 69-year-old Tim Edward Wood.
Five additional people were injured and taken to the hospital. Some were injured but not taken to the hospital. Some of the injured individuals were identified as 58-year-old Mark Wayne Nazworth of Wolfforth suffered serious injuries, 43-year-old Jeff Goodnight, 53-year-old Lilian Hong Ngo, and a 12-year-old girl.
The driver of the pickup, a 72-year-old man from Lubbock, was not injured.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
