Van Zandt County, TX (6/25/2021) – A head-on crash killed two people and left two people hospitalized Friday morning.
The accident happened around 11:15 a.m. on FM 751 north of Wills Point. A Chevrolet Spark attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone when they struck a Ford F-150 head-on.
A passenger in the Chevrolet, 51-year-old Dorothy Hines, was killed at the scene.
Another passenger in the Chevrolet, 33-year-old Angela Phillips, was taken to a Dallas hospital, where she later died.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Ember N Berg, 37, was taken to a hospital in Dallas in critical condition.
The driver of the Ford was identified as Robert Anderson, 74. He was transported to a hospital in Tyler in serious condition.
