Two People Dead after Deadly Beaumont Wreck

Beaumont, TX (9/20/2021) – A wreck near Beaumont left two people dead and others injured Monday evening.

The accident happened after 8:00 p.m. when a Honda passenger car and a Dodge passenger van collided with each other after the Honda failed to drive in a single lane. 

A passenger in the Honda was killed at the scene. He was identified as Tulio Funes Canales, 40. 

Another passenger was also killed at the scene. He was identified as Timotea Borja, 71. 

The driver of the Honda, 28-year-old Kelvin Rivera, was taken to the hospital for treatment. 

The driver of the Dodge, 32-year-old Andresina Borja, was also taken to the hospital. 

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
