Jasper, TX (10/6/2021) – Two people were injured after a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 63 east of Jasper Wednesday morning.
The accident happened shortly after 7 a.m. when a Dodge Ram pickup truck headed north turned into the path of a Freightliner that was headed east. The Freightliner turned over as a result and partially blocked the road.
The driver of the Freightliner, 54-year-old Turner Hartsfield, and the driver of the Dodge, 82-year-old Johnnie Wagstaff, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led to the accident, and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
