Tyler County, TX (12/5/2020) – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle wreck involving a motorcycle on Saturday in Orange County.
The accident occurred at FM 105 and Lakeview Cutoff around 7 p.m. A Honda motorcycle was headed south on FM 105 while a Toyota SUV was headed north. The SUV failed to yield the right-of-way and turned into the path of the motorcycle. The two collided, causing the motorcycle rider to be trapped under the SUV and the passenger ejected.
The two motorcycle victims were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as 48-year-old Tony Stanley and 40-year-old Angie Stanley.
The driver of the Toyota, a 75-year-old woman, and her passenger were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
