Two People Killed in Fatal Wreck in Cleburne

Cleburne, TX (2/5/2021) – Two people are dead after a head-on collision happened in Cleburne on Friday.

The accident happened around 4 p.m. near Park Road 21 and CR 1224. A maroon pickup was following a white pickup on Park Road 21. As they approached the intersection, the maroon pickup hit the rear of the white pickup as it slowed down. The impact caused the white pickup to go into the center turning lane and partially in the southbound lane. 

A black pickup headed southbound then crashed head-on into the white pickup, causing it to spin and catch fire. 

Two passengers in the white pickup were pronounced dead at the scene.

Another driver and passenger were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the black pickup was also taken to a hospital with injuries.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
