Wichita Falls, TX (1/27/2021) – A single-vehicle wreck left two people dead in Wichita County Wednesday morning.
The accident happened on U.S. 287 South and Jacksboro Highway around 6:50 a.m. when a Chrysler 300 was driving erratically before hitting a tree. The vehicle then caught fire.
The passenger was trapped in the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 39-year-old Charles Wayne McManus, was taken to United Regional Health Care, where he was pronounced dead.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
