Two Severely Burned after Car Crashes into Restaurant in Somerville

Somerville, TX (7/29/2021) – A vehicle collided into a restaurant and left multiple people burned Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened off Highway 36 when a vehicle was pulling into a Mama’s Kitchen. The driver missed the brake pedal and hit the gas instead, crashing into the side of the building where the fryers are located.

Two people were severely burned and flown by medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital. 

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
