Two Teenagers Killed in Newton County Crash

Newton County, TX (3/12/2020) – Two teenagers were killed in a deadly single-vehicle accident Tuesday.

The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on SH 63 when a Mercury vehicle going at high speeds lost control, struck a guardrail, and veered off the road. It then struck a tree.

The driver, 18-year-old Terrance Hunter, died at the scene.

Passenger Dewight Hunter, 16, was also killed.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in ten days.
