Houston, TX (April 5, 2019) – Two people are dead and one critically injured from a workplace accident at Spitzer Industries.
Spitzer Industries is located near the Houston Ship Channel. The accident happened Thursday around 9:00 p.m. A group of workers were moving some material, when a piece of heavy equipment flipped and pinned down two workers.
One of the workers was crushed and died at the scene. The second person was taken by LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital with serious injuries, where he later passed away. A third person was treated at the facility.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
Spitzer Industries is based in Houston and produces custom steel fabrication for the energy industry. Their Waterfront Facility provides a direct link to the Houston Ship Channel, allowing worldwide shipment of large products.
