William Devauri Ames Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident

Copperas Cove, TX (1/15/2020) – A man is dead after being involved in a hit-and-run accident Monday in Copperas Cove.

The accident occurred at South 7^th Street and Urbantke Lane. According to investigators, a vehicle hit William Devauri Ames, 32, and fled the scene.

Ames was killed at the scene.

No injuries were reported for the driver of the vehicle. The driver was identified as Lance Tyler Anderson. He was charged with an accident involving personal injury or death.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
