Woman Dead after Single-Vehicle Crash in Waco

Waco, TX (4/15/2020) – A severe traffic crash left one person dead in Waco, Texas. 

The single-vehicle accident happened Tuesday evening at the corner of Dallas Street and Harlem Avenue. The car flipped over and stopped in an open field.

As a result of the wreck, a 69-year-old woman died at the scene. 

The driver of the car was identified as the woman’s husband. He sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Authorities believe contributing factors to the crash include traveling at a high rate of speed and driving while intoxicated. The driver was detained by the Waco Police Department.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
