Houston, TX (12/9/2019) – A man is dead and a woman is injured after crashing into a Metro light rail pole in Houston’s Northside neighborhood early Sunday.
The incident happened around 4 a.m. when a deputy tried to stop a vehicle from speeding ultimately found that same vehicle crumpled in the middle of the Metro rail lines near Fulton and Patton streets.
The man driving the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female passenger was taken to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
Investigators are currently looking into what may have caused the man to speed and ultimately drive his vehicle into a Metro light rail pole in Houston early Sunday.
