Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run on 610 West Loop

Houston, TX (9/24/2021) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident Friday morning in the Meyerland area. 

The accident happened just before 3:30 a.m. on I-610 West Loop at South Post Oak. A woman was standing outside her Dodge Charger that was parked on the right shoulder of the road, checking a flat tire. That’s when a vehicle came by and struck her. 

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver fled the scene. 

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
