Rusk County, TX (8/15/2021) – A woman was killed and a man was injured after a fatal two-vehicle wreck near Henderson.
The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on FM 225. A Kia Forte was headed southbound while a Kia Optima was headed northbound. The Forte then crossed the center stripe and struck the Optima.
The driver of the Kia Forte, 39-year old Shaun Cooper, was flown to the hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the Optima, 36-year-old Conshneka Williams, was also flown to the hospital, where she later died.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
