Tyler, TX (8/22/2021) – A woman was killed and two people were left with serious injuries Sunday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash.
The accident happened around 1:08 p.m. on Spur 364 in Smith County near Tyler. A Chevrolet Silverado was headed west while a Nissan Sentra was headed east. For unknown reasons, the Chevrolet crossed into the eastbound lane and struck the Nissan.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 19-year-old Jeffery Harmon, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the Nissan, 48-year-old Holly Lewis, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, a 17-year-old, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
