Wreck with 18-Wheeler Left Many Injured in Jefferson County

Jefferson County, TX (4/12/2021) – A multi-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler left multiple people injured on Monday.

The accident happened on Interstate 10 near Taylors Bayou. A commercial truck and a Nissan passenger vehicle were headed eastbound, followed by a Chevrolet pickup truck. The Chevrolet failed to control his speed and rear-ended the Nissan and the commercial truck.

The Chevrolet was trapped under the trailer of the commercial truck as a result, trapping its occupants.

The occupants of the Chevrolet were all injured. The driver, 23-year-old Conner Bray, and a 5-year-old were taken to the hospital via helicopter. Hannah Bray, 23, and an 11-month-old were taken to the hospital via ambulance.

The driver of the Nissan, 59-year-old Kymblyn Alexander, and the driver of the commercial truck, 48-year-old Alberto Lopez, were not injured.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
