Houston, Texas (April 2, 2023) – Police are investigating the events that led to a wrong-way crash on Beltway 8 that claimed the life of one individual. 
The crash reportedly involved a pickup truck and a sedan, occurring just before 5 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Beltway 8.
According to officials on the scene, the driver of the sedan was on their way to work. They were killed in the accident.
The driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital and is said to be in critical condition.
