Orange County, TX (2/18/2020) – An 18-year-old man was killed after a major wreck in South Orange County Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred before 5:30 a.m. on FM 1006. A Honda passenger car was headed west on FM 1006 when the car skidded sideways after losing control. The car crossed into the opposite lanes of FM 1006 and was struck by a Ford SUV driven by 47-year-old Dane Yates.
The driver of the Honda, 18-year-old Anthony Palomo, was killed at the scene.
Yates was taken to a hospital via ambulance with serious injuries.
It is unknown why Palomo lost control of his vehicle.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
