Littlefield, TX (7/13/2021) – Two people were killed and one person was injured after a crash Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 84 and Loop 430. Witnesses say a white Honda Accord ran a stop sign just as a semi-truck was headed westbound. The semi-truck attempted to avoid the Accord, but ultimately the semi-truck crashed into the Accord and side-swiped an ambulance.
The driver of the Accord was killed at the scene. His 2-year-old daughter was sent to the hospital, where she later died.
The wife of the driver was taken to UMC with life-threatening injuries.
Occupants in the ambulance were also taken to the hospital with non-serious injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
