Lubbock, TX (3/12/2021) – Four people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck Friday afternoon.
The accident happened on FM 41 and US 87 when a silver SUV headed westbound on FM 41 failed to yield the right-of-way and crashed into a blue Dodge headed southbound on US 87. A pregnant woman, her husband, and their 11-month-old child were in the Dodge pickup. The woman’s water broke during the crash.
All three Dodge occupants and the driver of the SUV were all taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
Driving with Negligence
Negligent driving is wholly apparent in the situation above. Failing to yield for traffic is a blatant traffic violation and almost always leads to accidents. The SUV driver failed to yield to the Dodge, and a collision occurred, causing multiple injuries to a family of three, including a pregnant woman. Because of this, those injured may be entitled to a personal injury claim against the SUV driver.
