18-Wheeler Rear-End Collision in West HoustonThe wreck happened around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on I-10 at Barker Cypress in the westbound lanes.

The driver of a Chevrolet truck suffered a rear-end collision by an 18-wheeler, causing the truck to fly over the concrete barrier on the shoulder. The truck landed on the side of the freeway near the trees. The driver of the truck was sent to Memorial Hermann in serious condition.

The 18-wheeler had damage to the hood from colliding into the truck and concrete barrier. The big rig driver wasn’t injured.

The cause of the crash is unknown. Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident.
