Alvin, TX (September 13, 2019) – A daycare van carrying nine children ended upside down on the side of the road in Alvin, Texas.
The car accident happened Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of TX-35 and Victory Lane in Brazoria County.
According to authorities, the driver of Kid City Daycare ran the red light, loss control of the steering, and ended upside down on the side of the highway.
Several of the kids had minor injuries such as scrapes and bruises. All of the children were sent back to the day care’s Friendswood location.
The driver of the van did not suffer any life threatening injuries and was cited a speeding ticket.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in ten days.
