stalled 18-wheeler
HOUSTON (November 5, 2018)- The driver of a pickup truck was killed after crashing into an 18-wheeler in northeast Houston.

According to Houston police, the accident happened Saturday around 1:30 a.m. when a big rig ran out of gas and pulled over on the side of Beaumont Highway near Mesa Drive.

A part of the trailer was still on the road when the driver of an F-150 collided into it. The driver died on impact. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt in the accident.

Authorities believe speed may have been a factor. The crash remains under investigation and police reports will be available in ten days.
