A driver is in critical condition after suffering a rear-end collision in north Houston Thursday night.
The car accident occurred around midnight near FM 1960 and Townsen. A Kia Sorento side-swiped a pickup truck at a red light and collided into the back of another car. The driver of the car was trapped and had to be removed from his vehicle.
The driver is a 20-year old male, but has not been identified by name. He was flown to Memorial Hermann in critical condition with a severe head injury. The driver of the pickup truck wasn’t injured. The driver and passenger in the Kia were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition.
It is unknown whether alcohol was involved in the multiple collision. The crash remains under investigation and police reports will be made available in ten days.
