18-Wheeler-Accident-in-Gregg-County-TexasGregg County, TX (May 24, 2019) – A fatal pedestrian accident happened on Interstate 20 in Gregg County, Texas.

The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. According to the Department of Public Safety, James Evans, 56, of Kilgore experienced car problems on I-20.

He got out of his vehicle and began to push his car down the highway. An 18-wheeler driven by William Weimer, 42, of Kentucky, was traveling westbound and collided with the vehicle and Mr. Evans.

Mr. Evans was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr. Weimer and his passenger were not injured in the crash.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in ten days.
