Pedestrian Dies after Hit-and-Run Accident in ChinatownThe hit-and-run accident occurred Sunday around 9:30 p.m. at 9600 Stroud. The 68-year-old woman was walking south on Corporate Dive when she crossed Stroud Drive in the crosswalk and was hit by a driver making a left turn. According to police, the driver didn’t yield the right of way and failed to stop to render aid. The vehicle that hit the woman is unknown.

There were no witnesses to the car accident, but a woman passing by noticed the victim lying in the road and stopped to help. The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
