South Houston Carjacking Crash HOUSTON (September 6, 2018) – The Houston Police Department (HPD) received a call at 1:00am by a woman that reported a carjacking. The woman stated she was held at gunpoint by a man in front of her apartment complex in South Houston.

Her phone was left in the car which had a tracking app that helped police locate the car. The suspect led the authorities on a chase from Highway 288 to 610 Loop service road. Both parties ended up crossing the ditch with each car wrecked stopping at the railroad tracks. HPD arrested the guy and found a fake gun in the car. No car accidents or injuries took place.

Authorities are working with the district attorney regarding the charges he will face.
