According to Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), a teenager died after being hit by a car early Friday morning.

The wreck happened around 6:30 a.m.in the 19400 block of East Hardy near FM 1960. The male victim was rollerblading on a poorly lit stretch of road, with earbuds on at the time of the fatal car accident. The driver remained at the scene.

HCSO states the victim is from 14 to 20 years old, but has not been identified by name. Both north and south lanes are closed at this time. Crash investigators will review all factors that may have caused the accident.
