cut-from-vehicleHouston, TX (May 16, 2019) – Two people had to be cut out of their vehicles after a violent crash in northeast Houston.

The car accident happened around midnight at Maxey Road near Wallisville Road.

A man in a black Ford truck ran the red light and hit a woman driving a sedan in the intersection.

The impact caused the sedan to roll over multiple times and become pinned under an 18-wheeler. The man in the truck was also pinned in his vehicle. Both drivers had to be cut out using the Jaws of Life.

Both drivers were transported to a local hospital and are expected to survive their injuries. Crash investigators are working to determine other factors that may have been a factor in the collision.
