Houston, TX (8/23/2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after being involved in a wreck with an alleged drunk driver in west Houston on Saturday.
The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Highway 6 near Westheimer. A driver, 62-year-old Jan Zbigniew Lewandowski, was attempting a U-turn when a Suzuki Boulevard motorcycle crashed into his Ford F-150 pickup truck. The driver was believed to have been under the influence.
The motorcyclist, 60, died at the scene.
The driver involved was not injured in the crash. Charges are pending in the case.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
