San Patricio County, TX (8/29/2021) – A person is dead after a two-vehicle rear-end crash occurred Sunday night.
The accident happened on FM 666 north of Old San Patricio County. Around 10:07 p.m., a Chevy Suburban and a Ford F-250 both were headed south. The F-250 slowed down to make a turn, but the Chevy failed to control their speed and collided into the rear of the Ford. Both vehicles veered off the roadway.
The driver of the Ford, 39-year-old Joe Guerra Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger was transported to Driscoll Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Both the driver and passenger in the Chevy were transported to Spohn Shoreline Hospital in Corpus Christi with non-life threatening injuries.
Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
