Texas Man Involved in Semi-Truck Wreck in Nebraska

Fremont, NE (6/24/2020) – A Texas man was treated for injuries after being involved in a semi-truck wreck in Nebraska.

The accident happened at County Road F and U.S. 77 south of Uehling around 11 a.m. Saturday. An SUV and a semi-truck hauling fireworks collided, resulting in the semi-truck to erupt in flames due to the fireworks.

The crash left three people injured. Trevor and Carolyn Janke, occupants in the SUV, were transported by rescue vehicles to Methodist Fremont Health. Trevor Janke, 31, was later flown to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha for additional treatment.

The semi driver, Steven Allen, of El Paso, Texas, was treated at the scene.

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led to the accident, and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
