Three-Year-Old Killed in Fatal 18-Wheeler Crash

Upton County, TX (1/21/2021) – A three-year-old was killed near Rankin in a fatal 18-wheeler crash.

The accident happened around 12:15 p.m. on State Highway 349 when a truck-tractor headed south was going at unsafe speeds and lost control. They slid into a Jeep Grand Cherokee. 

A boy, 3, was killed as a result of the accident. 

The driver of the Jeep and two passengers were taken to the hospital. 

Crash investigators will review all factors that may have led up to the accident and police reports will be made available in fourteen days.
